To solve this equation, repeatedly do the same thing to both sides of the equation until the variable is isolated on one side of the > sign and the answer on the other.

-4c + 1 > -2 + 8c
-4c > -2 + 8c - 1
-4c - 8c > -2 - 1
-12c > -3
c > \( \frac{-3}{-12} \)
c > \(\frac{1}{4}\)

The area of a triangle is equal to ½ base x height:

a = ½bh
a = ½ x 6 x 6 = \( \frac{36}{2} \) = 18

A right angle measures 90 degrees and is the intersection of two perpendicular lines. In diagrams, a right angle is indicated by a small box completing a square with the perpendicular lines.

A rhombus is a parallelogram with four equal-length sides. A square is a rectangle with four equal-length sides.
